Squeezed between two churches and run by Salesian nuns, Museu do Indio holds the largest and most comprehensive collection of indigenous Amazonian artefacts in Brazil. Acquired mostly from indigenous groups in the states of Amazonas and Pará, the collection includes hunting tools and weapons, household utensils, artwork, ritual objects and musical instruments.   • Who said Manaus's only Indian should come before in the Museu do índio, to check how an Indian, as live cultures and mode of dress, is very interesting for sure.

  • It's not a Museum of old but it's somewhat outdated, unattractive (especially with kids) but with her old photos, its objects that all seem to come out of nowhere we go back and feet on the ground.
