Natural History Museum Museum
Squeezed between two churches and run by Salesian nuns, Museu do Indio holds the largest and most comprehensive collection of indigenous Amazonian artefacts in Brazil. Acquired mostly from indigenous groups in the states of Amazonas and Pará, the collection includes hunting tools and weapons, household utensils, artwork, ritual objects and musical instruments.   • It has a lot of items. Tools. Etc. of native people. It is a quick visit but ok. No air conditioning. No great lighting. 10rs or 2.5 usd
  • It is an important historical centre, which tells the story of the Indian in Brazil, however, unfortunately it is not treated as such. Could have better disclosure.

  • Too weak. I was expecting a lot more taking since they claim to be the largest in Indian museums. Not worth the visit.

  • Could be a great attraction for the city, but it is forgotten by the State Government, unfortunately, culture is not a priority for the ruler.
