  • Several options of activities: hiking, tour of the island and lakes, nocturnal activities and fishing for piranhas (outside the Park area).

  • Some friends asked me to meet Novo Airão and went without any expectation (I'm living in Manaus and around here). I found the ride very well. We stayed at the Inn Tarantula and did the tour organized by the same hostel. I was at the time of the flood, so I couldn't see the beaches of rio. But still I found the wonderful landscape. To traverse those paths between the islands felt a peace. The Boatman stopped in the middle of the river for anyone who wanted to swim. It was very good. Novo Airão is very small and with few options of things to do. I want to go back in time. Watch your feet in the water close to the dolphins. A porpoise bit my foot and hurt.

  • I was at the time of full and yet the experience was magical! The maze of islands in the middle of the Rio Negro is stunning and I had some landscapes could hardly explain in words. The downside is the high price you charge for the tour, and I recommend that you look for some place to meet a boatman who is available. You can negotiate the gasoline of the canoe and the value that it will charge for the tour. Is must for anyone visiting Novo Airão and certainly I shall return at the time of ebb of the River to see the beaches of the archipelago.
