  • I was in Manaus for work and had procrastinated on signing up for a tour. I wasn't outfitted for a proper rain forest trek but I wanted to see something of the Amazon with the limited time I had. I ca...  more »

  • Mr Antonio in sought in hotel as 7:00 in the morning, we'd come back to Manaus just the 8:00 pm at night. The ideal is to go with a lightweight long pants that ride (don't go in jeans) because it is very hot. We were in shorts and was quiet too. It's nice to take a camera with a cool zoom to get shoot some birds and other animals, because many of them are hidden among the trees. Repellent, hat and sunscreen are also necessary items. If you have a GoPro for lead is also legal in time to shoot the porpoises from Manaus we leave for a nearby town in the morning and went out in a boat by creeks. Jayme was our guide and your knowledge and respect for the forest was amazing. He knew about each plant there, for what was used and even made a Crown using sheets and gave it to one of the members of the group. After we stopped for lunch and continued to swim with the Dolphins. The experience was amazing, they are super sweet and you can pet them. From there we stopped at one of the creeks and we were fishing for piranhas. It was a pretty cool experience, you can catch some fish easily. Then we're walking until night began to fall. We have a wonderful sunset, that there's no words to describe the beauty of the whole scenario. After nightfall, we did the alligator spotting. Jayme explained about the types of alligator in the Amazonas and passed the animal for those who would like to hold him. Then immediately let go, all with heavy security both for us and for the animal. After we returned to Manaus and we arrived at our hotel between some and 8:30 pm 9:00 pm. This ride was the most amazing experience that we had with respect to contact with nature and animals. Is unlike anything we'd done before in my life, it was a very enriching experience. We left with another view of the forest, animals and Brazil itself. It was amazing!
