  • Access is by a dirt road, with climbs complicated for those who don't have the experience or the car is in trouble. To reach the stone you can park there even, there is plenty of room to Park, there's no selling anything take something on wheels for their own use. In terms of safety, I've never had a problem there, but I didn't see any gcm or pm. The view is beautiful, no matter the time.

  • The big stone is a place with many natural beauties and great for walking trails and on the rocks. To get there, you must exit at KM 65 Dom Pedro Highway and take the road of big rock-sour orange. Dirt road, but everything is signaled with signs indicating the way. As the name implies, is a large stone where you can ride a car and bike for much of it. This Rock, you can see the city of Atibaia and region and can watch the people jumping from paragliding and hang gliding. I always went up by car or bike, but has a staff that climbs up a trail and others who rent scooters at the very beginning of the dirt road. Can you go from regular car if it is not raining. Also has a restaurant called Nook of the stones, in the middle of the dirt road. Very good, with median prices (a little more than average), it's worth it. Always pass sunscreen, because there's plenty of wind, it seems is not so hot, and the sun burns of truth. If you're a little cold, light sweater, because there's going to be really cold.

  • The big rock was always a known jump point hang gliding by the large horizon which unfolds. The view is really lush and see far. The climb is grueling, but still some people do walk.
