  • On the day we went the weather was perfect, blue skies, crystal-clear sea and low tide. However, how many people visit at the same time, I found the water too turbid, you couldn't see fish, the tour was worth more by the beauty of the raft crossing. I found the height there are bars there offering food (fried food) and drinks in full sea, saw water bottles floating, in a place where they should be preserving nature. In addition to several jangadeiros took bread to attract the fish, and the Boatman who took me said that we shouldn't do this because it is forbidden by the Ibama. I confess that I felt to bad to be there "disturbing" nature. The view of the sea and coastline left me more entertained than why did the ride.

  • One of the first options when visiting Maceió. Negotiate the price of the tour and see the conditions of the raft and driver.

  • Natural pools are always good attractions in the Northeast and this could not be otherwise. We were lucky, tide was great to admire the fish.

  • The place is really beautiful, but could explore the natural beauty of more organized and conscious way. In one of the pools has a "offshore trade" (rafts) of food and drink, where people ask and eat right there on the water, I could tell several people spilling drinks and some even discarding waste purpose appetizers and dishes served in site. Unfortunately there is a lack of awareness and caution about it.

  • The blue tint is milky white and clear, the beach is beautiful visually, but is connected to the sewer. I didn't know that when I took a shower and made the tour of the swimming pools, but when walking in the sand I encounter with the ditch and the characteristic smell.

Where to stay in Maceio

Accommodations in Maceio crowd around the city's eastern shorefront, competing for a spot in the morning sun. The best places to stay during your Maceio vacation are the neighborhoods of Ponta de Terra, Ponta Verde, and Jatiúca. You can find everything from free-spirited hostels to high-class hotels and beach resorts along the coastal strip, within a stone's throw of white sand beaches. To get off the beaten track, go west to the other edge of the city, where palm-lined Lagoa Mundaú brims with birdlife and local fishers looking for the day's catch among the mangroves.
