  • This market looks almost like one of those Muslim markets, with many products of all kinds. There are clothes, shoes, leather, ceramics, weaving and handicraft pieces in straw. the prices looked good and good spirits marketers. is a good place to go at the end of the trip and buy the latest things and gifts.

  • To stay a few days in Maceió, was almost luck that I heard about the market in the city centre. I had no idea so much diversity and options at the fairs, which took almost all the streets. I bought a little of each fruit that I found and roots for tea. That before you arrive in the central market, this market has so many options, or even more, than the beach. The prices are similar in the whole city, but the diversity here is amazing.

  • The market is located in the central region of Maceio. Go by taxi or uber, is pretty hard to park and you is worried about the car. On site there are a wide variety of items: crafts with vine, ceramic vases, tulle lace, shirts, networks, bath. I went during a weekday and was very quiet. Some sellers are not very attentive, but it's a minority. The problem is the market itself, but rather the place where he is, because the side has a horti-fruit, herbs ... car, motorcycle, bicycle, not a place of cleaner, to say the least! But still we all without any problem in terms of security, it's just not pretty. All you have in this market you'll find on the Pajussara and in a much better location. The prices are equivalent.

  • That is a place in Maceió to buy, at the same, time souvenir in case you're a tourist, or to buy day-by-day tools typical from the Northeast and Alagoas cultures. Most of the product there presented are handcrafted. The prices are usually fair.
  • Normal.

  • What I sought found. It's not great but offers many options the fair price of pieces like clay pots network and souvenirs.

  • Place with great variety of handicraft products. But is poorly preserved requiring repairs and improvements in infrastructure, accessibility and parking.

Where to stay in Maceio

Accommodations in Maceio crowd around the city's eastern shorefront, competing for a spot in the morning sun. The best places to stay during your Maceio vacation are the neighborhoods of Ponta de Terra, Ponta Verde, and Jatiúca. You can find everything from free-spirited hostels to high-class hotels and beach resorts along the coastal strip, within a stone's throw of white sand beaches. To get off the beaten track, go west to the other edge of the city, where palm-lined Lagoa Mundaú brims with birdlife and local fishers looking for the day's catch among the mangroves.
