4.0
#15 of 25 in Beaches in Maceio
Beach Nature / Park
Tranquil, calm, and chic, the appeal of Garca Torta Beach lies in its rustic, laid-back atmosphere. Coconut trees overhang the sands, offering shade and scenery on this often isolated beach. As part of a traditional fishing village, the waters off the beach are rich in marine life, so be sure to sample some of the local cuisine. • We went in July ' 17 to the wonderful Inn "Dune paradise". At low tide beaches with few people walking quiet, with a warm sea and a soft breeze that it produces a wonderful feeling, only accompanied with the sound of the sea. Garça Torta is a fisherman's beach. Someone commented that there are abandoned piers, but they are actually sticks placed by fishermen to networks that gather fish. Talking to locals, they comment that, even at night, fish Octopus and lobsters. I recommend using suitable footwear for walking through the reefs and take advantage of the pools that form. Offshore Beach narrows slightly, but is perfect for a dip or at lunchtime, walking up to some of the restaurants of playa like "Milk" or "Garça Torta" (fishermen restautant, economic). Walking on the beach we saw employees wiping the beach. In winter, by the wind, the sea is scrambled. We were told that in the summer, with the calmer sea water turns Turquoise. One way or another, by the beauty and the people, it is to return many times.

  • Very quiet beach but without many options of where to eat or drink anything. Valley meet but it's nothing out of the ordinary

  • Very quiet beach, great for those who want peace or escape from the hustle and bustle of the most famous beaches like the French. You can swim in the pools that are formed in the lowest tide. We stayed at the Milk Beach Pub, with good structure and freight to the beach.

Where to stay in Maceio

Accommodations in Maceio crowd around the city's eastern shorefront, competing for a spot in the morning sun. The best places to stay during your Maceio vacation are the neighborhoods of Ponta de Terra, Ponta Verde, and Jatiúca. You can find everything from free-spirited hostels to high-class hotels and beach resorts along the coastal strip, within a stone's throw of white sand beaches. To get off the beaten track, go west to the other edge of the city, where palm-lined Lagoa Mundaú brims with birdlife and local fishers looking for the day's catch among the mangroves.
