Marco Zero, Macapa

(700+ reviews on the web)
Built next to the Milton Corrêa Stadium, Marco Zero marks the exact passage of the equator through Macapá. The 9 m (30 ft) monument consists of a rectangular obelisk with a circle through it near the top. At the equinox, the sun lines up perfectly in the circle and projects a ray of light along the imaginary line of the equator.
