The beach of Araxá is a real window into the Amazon River, is the "River", although a little abandoned by public authorities, is a wonder of nature. Good for a day until the early evening, then it gets dangerous. Unfortunately! B] worth a stop by to check out this wonderful that God has given us!

The edge of Araxá is a beautiful place for appreciation of nature. The noise of the Amazon River the strong wind in the face and uplifting. Nice place for hiking outdoors. Pena q the Government abandoned this beautiful place. Is the locAl structure behind is killing the postcard

The edge of the river is pedestrian for kilometers. Not dreaming, cars are not far away. But it's a beautiful show that this huge River, has low tide of young people play football, at high tide looks on the sea. A lot of people to walk or run. However, avoid night, more or less enlightened places.

Where to stay in Macapa

Macapa offers a relatively small variety of mid-range hotels and accommodation options. As this isn’t a common backpacker town, you may have trouble finding hotel staff who speak English, so come prepared to speak some basic Portuguese or bring a good phrase book. Look for accommodations in the center of the city to be within walking distance to most attractions, or stay near one of the few roads into town.
