Pecado Beach, Macae

The water at Pecado Beach favors surfers and bodyboarders, but you can also choose to dive or fish in the calmer sections along the shore. Walk to the end of this "Beach of Sin" at sunset and enjoy a drink and a snack at a well-stocked bar with live music and Samba dancing. From here you can use bicycle and pedestrian paths to get to the bigger Beach of the Knights, at the end of which the bottom of the Satana archipelago comes into unobstructed view in the crystal clear air. Kiosks located along the coast sell coconut water, a popular local beverage. Pecado Beach is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our world travel planner, Macae Edition.

  • A very nice beach and always very well attended. The water is cold but very clean and Nice. Have bars near and it is easy to park.

Where to stay in Macae

Tourism in Macae has grown in the modern era, along with the other industries of the city. This means that many of the accommodations available are new chain hotels, suitable for business travelers and international tourists alike. Find the main bulk of options along Av. Atlantica, with many enjoying sea views, as well as a good set of amenities and services, such as swimming pools, gyms, spas, and bars. If you're on a budget, consider staying a little distance away from the developed waterfront. Though the choice is still limited to hotels, the ones in more residential areas of the city offer scaled-back facilities at reduced rates.
