Campistas Beach, Macae

1.6
#4 of 10 in Beaches in Macae
Beach Nature / Park
Quiet and safe, Campistas Beach offers a strip of sand suitable for sun tanning, jogging, or practicing a variety of sports. Many visitors choose to spend an entire day walking along the water, or picnic right on the sand. You can also windsurf or fish here, or use the nearby bike lanes to explore the surrounding area on two wheels. These waters can be quite rough and fairly cold, so this part of the coast is not recommended for small children or inexperienced swimmers. The beach is close to the center of the city, where you can stop by a number of restaurants, bars, and shops. A visit to Campistas Beach represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Macae itinerary maker to plot your vacation.

Where to stay in Macae

Tourism in Macae has grown in the modern era, along with the other industries of the city. This means that many of the accommodations available are new chain hotels, suitable for business travelers and international tourists alike. Find the main bulk of options along Av. Atlantica, with many enjoying sea views, as well as a good set of amenities and services, such as swimming pools, gyms, spas, and bars. If you're on a budget, consider staying a little distance away from the developed waterfront. Though the choice is still limited to hotels, the ones in more residential areas of the city offer scaled-back facilities at reduced rates.

  • The beach is very beautiful and clean. It is however, somewhat "isolated" and can be risky for robbery.  more »
  • Camper's beach is a part of cavaleiros Beach, less trendy. Has Boardwalk and bike path, a large strip of sand. The sea is a little strong, so I do not recommend bathing. There are groups of people who train on the sand. On the edge there is restaurant, gyms and residential buildings.

  • I was staying in a hotel that looks out to the beach. The view of the beach is very good, a wonderful sunrise. Petrobras has a seat over there and don't see swimmers on the beach. The beach of the Knights and Sin give straight on the sea and are busier, more beautiful and better structured.
