  • Macaé has no tourism explored, so to get the island, you need to get in touch with an authorized boat is "close" to go. That is, you have to have a group to prorate the cost. Of Macaé until then, takes almost 1:00, but it's worth it. The island is just an island. Don't expect to find bathrooms or any other type of structure. As little stalls. So go prepared. Take drinking water to drink, food, tent to protect themselves from the Sun (because you burn more, believe me). It's a big island, fishing, diving. It's a walk around the city and fun. Don't let out the island too late, because the tide comes in and makes the return of the boat.

Where to stay in Macae

Tourism in Macae has grown in the modern era, along with the other industries of the city. This means that many of the accommodations available are new chain hotels, suitable for business travelers and international tourists alike. Find the main bulk of options along Av. Atlantica, with many enjoying sea views, as well as a good set of amenities and services, such as swimming pools, gyms, spas, and bars. If you're on a budget, consider staying a little distance away from the developed waterfront. Though the choice is still limited to hotels, the ones in more residential areas of the city offer scaled-back facilities at reduced rates.
