  • Very cool! To enter is you pay $10 per person and has on-site parking. You can't go in with styrofoam and the like, but you can get good a heating pad and things to eat! Has a zip line that also pays $10 to be able to use and you go through the whole waterfall. Many people take beach chair to get that Tan. You can be good there and the water of the falls is well chilled.

  • It's a delicious well to take a shower! Quiet, without many rocks ... makes you want to never leave!!! It's worth it!

  • The waterfall is delicious and has a nice structure to spend the day with tranquility. Lifeguard, restrooms and a restaurant with home-cooked meal and hot. I went on a Friday, I believe in the fds should stay busy, which isn't as nice as the waterfall that gives space to bathe is not too large. The ideal is to go in empty days. There is a collection of 10 reais per person, including children, which I thought was unfair. And there was also a problem that I need to register. I was traveling with my dog of breed Maltese and were prevented from entering because of her. At the entrance there's a sign that ANIMALS are prohibited. We had to return the next day, leaving her in a hosting for pets that have in Lumiar, to enter. However, another family that was in the same Inn that we were able to come in with their pets, after "a little chat with the doorman". Extremely unpleasant that. Or the rule is for everyone or it's not.

  • Took an hour bus ride from Nova Friburgo. Walked to poco feio. Closed. No public easement to the river. Waste of time. Walked back to the dumpy town of lumiar. Nothing to see or do. River is barely flowing this time of year. Got back on a bus to Centro. Don’t come here. It’s awful and a waste of your time.

  • Organized and safe with lifeguard and insurance points for tourists. However, they wanted to charge admission of my son, less than 3 years. And the restaurant could have more affordable prices

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
