  • I couldn't understand well the meeting of the rivers due to the large volume of water, it had rained a lot. But I was where people bathe in river, next to a bar, which had food and beer. The environment was very familiar.

  • The road that gives access to the meeting of the rivers Macaé and Rio Bonito is the Sierra road, the sign leaves something to be desired; by Miss her, and I just got waved down the mountain to be able to return. For those who like extreme sports and adrenaline, this script is unmissable; even those who do not have the courage to venture out on canoeing (I), it's worth appreciating, photographing and filming the descent of the river. Have a place to park right next to the bridge and for the more adventurous ... the bridge supports the passage of 1 car at a time

  • The most beautiful place of Lumiar, both for just a contemplation as to a waterfall. Access charged $10.00 per person. Is very worthwhile.

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
