  • Worth the ride, mainly to get away from the everyday life of the city. The up and down on the same day, but the best is to sleep by Lumiar or São Pedro da Serra

  • Worth the visit. The tour can be done without having to hire a guide. Worth take a cold beer and relax listening to the sound of water.

  • Where to find a good River bath today??? The District of Lumiar, in Nova Friburgo offers this delight. The meeting of the rivers is a great time for those who like to be in contact with nature. Don't forget sunscreen, slippers. There also a radical ride roll boating on the river. Enjoy.

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
