I find it interesting that some negative opinions about infrastructure. I think people expect the comfort of big city forest regions. Yes, you're going to jump a lot on the access road; No, there's no great infrastructure in place, a small but cozy bar, great snacks!. There's still a restaurant and an Inn (I don't know), cell phone barely works, but for those who want to enjoy nature is a wonderful choice. Ice bath in the waters of the mountain region.

Where to stay in Nova Friburgo

As a popular tourist hotspot, Nova Friburgo boasts a wide range of boutique, midsize hotels in the city center, mainly clustered within a few blocks of the Bengalas River. These accommodations, just a short walk from the city's main streets, tend to be somewhat upscale, with onsite pools and gardens. Many feature architectural styles reminiscent of Swiss and German mountain chalets. In the hills south of the city, past Point de Saudade, you'll find more nature-oriented options and eco-lodges, which focus on comfort combined with a somewhat rustic feel. Plenty of "pousadas" also dot the area: traditional Brazilian guesthouses offering lower prices in exchange for fewer amenities.
