  • The Museum has interesting things at the time, with pictures and information. Is very close to the frame of the Treaty of Tordesillas.

  • Good place to meet, with parking and security, in the historic center of Laguna. Talks about the history of our heroine Anita Garibaldi, their habits and difficulties, also shows various weapons of the time.

  • The Museum is very unkempt and unattractive to the people in a girl with a lot of ill will and discouragement is that snake in and already discouraged after termites everywhere and that musty smell that you never seem to make a faxiana

  • As a fan and student of museums that I am, I was very sad when visiting the historical Museum Anita Garibaldi in Laguna this week July 2017. The building is magnificent, is well preserved and has a lot of story to tell, stay in a beautiful city, but the museum itself is completely abandoned. Simply pitiful! Me and my family we left horrified to see broken parts exposed, rusted and dirty shelves as support for the acquis, also dusty and unkempt ... pie labels, folded and pasted in other own collection! The Sun directly in old paintings, among so many other things that do not depend on large financial resources to be resolved. Unfortunate to see the degree of abandonment in which the Museum is!!!!! A good housecleaning help already! I hope these comments, which are being made with the best of intentions, to be seen of constructive way. Hugs!

  • Anita Garibaldi was hero of two worlds and one of them and the Brazil. And it is here in Laguna that she fought with Garibaldi and conquered the Juliana Republic. The Museum tells and shows a lot of the time. Is a great place to visit.

  • The collection of the Museum is very good and worth the visit, although lack of care.

  • Important to our history. However I am sad to see the indifference of the authorities and historians who allow carelessness with all artifacts. Is practically abandoned.

Where to stay in Laguna

The bulk of accommodations in Laguna can be found along the coast, meaning they are actually quite separate from the main attractions of the town. Choose from homely pousadas (guesthouses) set just back from the beach, and larger hotels offering rooms from the simple to the luxury, with sea views and various amenities available. Budget-conscious travelers will want to look further south on the peninsular for a few hostels hidden along the side streets.
