Padim Cico Statue, Juazeiro do Norte

(4.3/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Padim Cico Statue attracts hundreds of thousands of followers of Padre Cícero, a preacher and prominent community leader who died in 1934. Posthumously canonized by the Brazilian Catholic Apostolic Church, the priest was venerated by local believers as a saint even during his life. His role in the emancipation and the development of his beloved city was so great that he has become its most recognizable symbol. Locals proudly assert that this is "The Land of Padre Cícero." The 25-meter (82-foot) statue is located in the Horto Garden, from which you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire region. Nearby is a museum dedicated to the preacher’s life and work, with exhibitions and literature about the area’s history and cultural heritage. • Is valid to visit just to meet but has nothing interesting in terms of attraction. Access is good.

  • To visit the Hill is full of magic and enchantment. Give to feel that there is a lot of faith and gratitude for the graces reached this place.

  • Pass in juazeiro and don't meet this monument would be a sacrilege. Both the structure and attraction in itself as the local organization are very well made and performed with mastery by all that are part. It's worth it.
