Simple Church, but with a lot of energy. Has a patio in front, kept the due proportions, reminiscent of the of the Basilicas of St. Peter (Vatican) and N.Sa. Aparecida.

Think of a happy people, the face of pilgrims can see how a good preaching, one disciple (EP. Cicero), can yield so many people to Our Lord Jesus Christ. Save Mary Immaculate!

It's a historic place, as it was in this church Padre Cícero Romão Batista that he created in Juazeiro. Exactly 100 years ago that this church was a chapel and today's Basilica sanctuary.

Where to stay in Juazeiro do Norte

You'll find the greatest density of accommodations towards the northern end of Avenida Padre Cicero, with stand-alone hotels offering simple rooms, and smaller bed and breakfasts blending in with the squat commercial and residential buildings of the side streets. Head south from the city's main junction, along Avenida Leao Sampaio, and you'll see larger resort-style hotels making use of the space in this less densely populated area, as well as budget motels providing good options for those wanting easy car access to Sertao.
