  • I was instructed by my brother: "quiet place, without structure, without massive crowd, but with a beach paradise etc." I didn't ask you what time of year it was. I was in the first week of January/17 and I didn't think anything of it. There are some structures in the sand to help contain the erosion composed of stones stuck in screen cages. Are perpendicular to the sea, with distances of some 10 m to each other. To get into the water, is for this space. Still, in the water, which is extremely calm and warm, there are also stones, these already installed by nature, that hurt the foot if you do not know. The best would be to use those rubber slippers. It is necessary to walk looking background and avoiding the dark parts (the stones). Actually, there is some structure because it is a 99% residential area. There is no umbrella and chairs for rent. One or other seller of water and coconut water. As we didn't have it, share the remainder of a coconut tree and sat in cangas we carry. How do we get cooler, drinks were quiet, but food, if you don't, starve. Just picolezeiro. The locals said that in December 2106 installed streetlights on the sidewalk of the beach and so, maybe, people stay up later or start attending more. But the place is in fact peaceful, excellent for families with children, mainly by sea. But don't forget. Take It All. But like everything is relative, that can be good or bad for me, may not be to another. Time: Lunch divinely well in Taiwan, Tent only restaurant on this stretch of beach.

  • Praia Formosa in Cabedelo in Paraíba is a beautiful beach with warm waters and great for kids. The turquoise blue water your doesn't owe anything to the Caribbean. In the summer it's worth checking out the delights of Zé Fernandes tent and the Sumê Bar.

  • It is a beach paradise, little busy and with water that resembles the Caribbean. Good is to go at low tide, the dunes you can see corals reflected, so transparent that is water. Good for floor stand up or just enjoy the day.

  • Gorgeous quiet beach with amazing views of the sunset. Came here late afternoon and saw only a few other people. Felt like it was a private beach resort. Couldn't have asked for a better beach day. *****

  • EXTREMELY QUIET BEACH. LINDA ... SHALLOW WATERS. CLEAN TRANSPARENT AND NO WAVES ... WARM WATERS ... WITHOUT BARS ON THE BEACH. BUT HAS A FEW IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND PEOPLE SELLING THINGS ON THE BEACH. WELL WORTH THE WALK OR STAY.

  • Prazerosíssima! Relaxing breeze, calm waters. Ideal to be frequented by children or for those who like to swim in the sea. Does not have complicating kiosks for those who like to drink or eat something ready, but also gives more aspect of quiet place, secure, familiar ... Tranquility describes this beach.

  • Paradise. Blue water Caribbean level. Good food in the restaurant. Very nice personnel serving on the beach. Not to be missed. The best that was in Joao Pessoa.

Where to stay in Joao Pessoa

As you'd expect, most of the accommodations in Joao Pessoa crowd around the eastern coastline, jostling for the best position to catch a glimpse of the morning sun. Of these areas, the beach neighborhoods of Cabo Branco Tambaú and Manaíra offer by far the best range of places to stay. In pleasant contrast to many of Brazil's other coastal cities, a restriction on high-rise buildings along the shorefront has helped the city retain its laid-back, natural feel. Consequently, most hotels are housed in smaller, unobtrusive buildings. You won't find a huge range of budget accommodations in the city, but if visiting in low season (March to November), you can bargain for as much as 40 percent off the regular price.
