Set within a national park, Jericoacoara Beach stretches as far as the eye can see, attracting surfers, kitesurfers, and nature-lovers. Sand dunes border the pristine beach, which features blue lagoons, interesting rock formations, and stretches of gold sand. Protected against development since 1984, the scenery here inspired The Washington Post to rank it as one of the world's top ten beaches. Nearby attractions include a rustic fishing village and a dune from which you can watch the sun sinking into the ocean at sunset. Expect to travel a ways to get here, including 45 minutes off-road. • Beautiful beach, sunset wonderful because the vision is that he falls into the sea, but ... At low tide, the strip of sand is very extensive, shallow water, venta too much, too much. If you're not windsurfer, will hardly enjoy. You're getting gust of wind with sand and vying for space in the water with planks of practitioners. The strip of dry sand is taken by restaurants and their tents. There's a lot of freedom for you to stretch your sarong or open your Chair. Is the beach for those who are willing to pay a little more if you want to spend the day. Otherwise, just don't miss the sunset, be sure to enjoy the climate of the end of the day is very beautiful. Otherwise, go bathing in the Lakes.

  • I went to Jericoacoara in 1 day out of the fortress. The trip is tiring, but worth it! The sights are beautiful and food and beverage prices are not high as I thought! If you have time go more than one day, the city is spectacular!!! Visited Pedra Furada, Jericoacoara National Park, Lagoa do Paraíso, Jijoca de Jericoacoara, dunes, Flying from laziness and the village of Jericoacoara.

Where to stay in Jericoacoara

As part of a national park, building restrictions in Jericoacoara keep all new constructions within strict guidelines. As a result, the pousadas (guesthouses) here are squat and rustic, in keeping with the remote, paradisal charm of the place. Despite its isolation and small permanent population, Jericoacoara's tourism infrastructure has grown markedly in recent years, adding lots of pousadas to the main village. Ranging from luxury options with pools and other amenities, to simple rooms in humble abodes, you'll find accommodations to suit various budgets and tastes. Book in advance, especially for peak season (December to February).
