Worth knowing all Itu. Cradle of our Republic. Immortalized by comedian Simplicius by exaggerations have in your square the pay phone, the semaphore and souvenir shops as well as all the beauty of the Church.

Very cool square, contains the pay phone and the light! Square with many banks the shadow. Has a gazebo much preserved. To your surroundings there are souvenir shops, and of course in giant sizes.

Where to stay in Itu

Much of Itu's accommodations lie in the city center, in the form of larger, upscale hotels that provide pools, fine dining, and plenty of the amenities you'd expect from well-known chains. While these tend to feature higher prices, they offer easy access to the attractions in the city center. Budget travelers should keep an eye out for smaller family-run guesthouses and hotels scattered around the historic core. To escape the bustle of the city center, consider staying in the surrounding countryside. Though you'll need some form of transportation to get to and fro, staying in the outskirts puts you close to some of the region's numerous plantation-style homes, many of which date back to the 18th century.
