  • Although small, the Museum brings a lot of content about the history of electric power in Brazil, especially in São Paulo. Are two floors with the exhibition very well explained and well made. The mansion itself is a beautiful site, with high ceilings and that shows the architectural style of the time. There are lamps, lamps, pabx, tv, telephone, electric appliances, all former. Very cool. The input value is negligible (4) and is a very cheap and interesting tour. Worth the visit.

Where to stay in Itu

Much of Itu's accommodations lie in the city center, in the form of larger, upscale hotels that provide pools, fine dining, and plenty of the amenities you'd expect from well-known chains. While these tend to feature higher prices, they offer easy access to the attractions in the city center. Budget travelers should keep an eye out for smaller family-run guesthouses and hotels scattered around the historic core. To escape the bustle of the city center, consider staying in the surrounding countryside. Though you'll need some form of transportation to get to and fro, staying in the outskirts puts you close to some of the region's numerous plantation-style homes, many of which date back to the 18th century.
