Zooparque, Itatiba
(4.7/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Zooparque is found within 50 hectares (124 acres) of well-preserved forest islands and streams, making it one of the largest zoos in Brazil. Following a 3km (1.86 mi) trail, you can observe more than 1,000 various animals from Brazil, Africa, Eurasia, and Australia, some of them out in wide-open spaces. The path is protected from the sun by trees, providing nice shade and many benches along the way offer a place to take a rest. The monitors are very helpful and keen on presenting interesting information in an easy way for children to understand. You can traverse the entire park in about three hours. In some sections of the park, you can take photos with the animals that are free roaming, accompanied by employee supervision, of course. A restaurant serving snacks and drinks is available for you to refuel. A visit to Zooparque represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Itatiba vacation route planner to plot your vacation.

  • A different Zoo, with trails in the Woods and environments that lead to distinct biomes. The mounted environments offer a good view of the animals, which seemed very well treated. Worth the visit.

  • Great place to bring family, sons and nephews. You feel in the forest, but still very safe.

  • Different Zoo, where you is inserted in the habitat of the animals, and not the other way around as is the case with all others in Brazil. Clean, well maintained, staff extremely attentive, knowledgeable, happy to be a part of. Remains with the $ visitors, gets nothing from Government, NGOs, IBAMA, etc, and still meets a beautiful species preservation function. So the value is fair. A family experience not to be missed. I will be back more often.
