The falls we visited this is the prettiest! And it's not hard to access. I just want to come in and take a shower. Or simply sit on the rocks contemplating nature.

By the South Gate of the parque Nacional do Itatiaia (the city of Itatiaia-whose Street is the street Wanderbilt Duarte de Barros). To pay and enter the Park, you're still about 10 minutes by car to reach the upper part (the part South of this Park-parking to 520 trail which aims to Itaporani waterfall). Returning to the starting point, you can still walk around 260 m and go to another waterfall, more imposing: the bride's Veil waterfall. Valley floor both trails that start from the same point. This waterfall is beautiful! Some say the whole waterfall is the same, but each one has your individual beauty. Sit in your surroundings and listen to the sound of water is something wonderful. Loved it!

Where to stay in Itatiaia

Despite being the largest town in the area, Itatiaia offers relatively few places to stay. Your best bet is to look for accommodations in the town center, near Praça da Emancipação, where you'll find a few small hotels and inns. If you want to visit the national park, look for accommodations at the park's entrance, or even inside its boundaries, rather than in town. You can also find a much larger selection of accommodations in Penedo, just a few kilometers down the road.
