Azul Lake, Itatiaia

(130 reviews on the web)
Water Body
Azul Lake is not a lake. It is a large pool of blue water from the stream that runs down the mountain in Itatiaia National Park. In fact there are several such pools along this stream. They are shallow and perfect for a summer swim. Some kiosks are available for refreshments. Plan to see Azul Lake and other attractions that appeal to you using our Itatiaia trip generator.

  • the location is beautiful, followed by a small trail aprox. 500 meters the ideal is you descend the stairs (124 steps) and return the trail of birding, the location is good for a shower but the water is very cold, it is worth visiting and meeting

  • Is located in Itatiaia National Park. In a gentle trail 500 m approximately. At the top of the waterfall the current so strong that I couldn't be under to massage me; Limpissima, transparent water, very nice cold. Has a shallow pool of quiet waters, very nice, even for those who can't swim. Well worth visiting.
