Matriz de Sant'Anna Church, Itanhaem
(4.2/5 based on 100 reviews on the web)
Built in 1761 by the early Portuguese settlers of the area, Matriz de Sant'Anna Church is located in the heart of the city. Constructed on the site of an older church, which is said to have been one of the earliest Christian structures in Brazil, the simple white building once dominated this part of the city. Today, the site is a great photo opportunity for passing tourists. This historic building is an important part of the city’s rich cultural and artistic heritage, and you can visit it to hear daily mass and see a small collection of sacred art. • Even very well taken care of, but you have to have the courage to face the Hill until you come to this site. But the sacrifice has rewards, you can visit (a taxinha to R5), meet ruins built by slaves as well as some walls built by slaves. Very nice location and Nice, which shows a very nice view of the city.

  • For those who like history and architecture is an excellent choice. Meet the influence of the Church and the beginning of the formation of the State of São Paulo with the arrival of the Portuguese.

  • There is no way to enter this Church and not be moved the least is. Obligatory stop in visits to the Centre of New Delhi. Possible to observe the whole architecture, while simplistic, is part of the second oldest city of Brazil.
