Place note 10. Did a fishing trip with the family in the itamhaém River. The place is very nice, has the pier that can also go fishing and have a beer with friends and family. I recommend the place.

The tour takes 1 hour round trip, and the boat goes to the yacht club where there are some stalls serving portions and beverages (no luxury, ok), rentals of kayaks, pedal boats, banana boat and all this in only 1 hour. Water is characteristic of river, i.e. cold, but a delight. Around the same boat with also 1 hour or less depending on the tide.

Where to stay in Itanhaem

As you'd expect in a town popular for its beaches, the greatest number of accommodations in Itanhaem do their best to get as close to the golden sands and sea as possible. These range from upmarket beach club hotels and resorts offering private beaches and bars with sea views, to simple, unfussy bed and breakfasts located beachside. Follow the river inland to find resort-style accommodations surrounded by the lush vegetation and tropical feel of the Atlantic Forest. To get out into the region's formidable rural areas, consider staying at one of the motels along Rodovia Padre Manoel da Nobrega, the main road for heading in and out of town.
