Visit Parque dos Falcoes, a truly unique place where you will find not only many birds of prey but also a giant anteater. Approximately 45 km (28 mi) from Aracaju, located at the foot of the Sierra Itabaina UP, you will find “Hawks' Park”, which was built through the hard work and effort of two dreamers, Percílio and José Alexandre Correia. Well maintained with magnificent views, you will see eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons among others. You can learn so much about the birds from the owners as well as feed them and take photos with them. • Located somewhere in Brazil. From Aracaju there are agencies offering the ride for $ 70. By car you can reach easily with GPS, about 1 km stretch of dirt road in reasonable conditions. There are visits to 9 and at 2:00 pm, that need to be scheduled. The ticket costs 25.00 and is the only allowance for maintaining the Park!!!!! It all started with a magnificent human being called Percilio that visitors have the opportunity to meet-I considered it an honor. He won his first Hawk (which he says was the one who taught you everything you know) at 7 years and since then, with much love and sensitivity, he developed great knowledge and ability to interact with the birds of prey. Was getting other problems, caring for them, learning and gaining recognition even outside of Brazil. Today the Park has over 200 birds, makes reproductions in captivity unbelievable, and care of the birds is the head of the Percilio (programming and days of "training" each flight, days and times and even feeding each one that is individually prepared and served by it daily to each one of them). When birds are born he wakes up in the morning to feed them more than once a night. It's a simple person that PRODUCES KNOWLEDGE. Anyway, just knowing this wonderful person to feel the energy he exudes. Exciting! Not to be missed!

  • The Hawks went to the park with my husband and my son a year and worth too much. The birds are fantastic and the monitors are very well prepared, with emphasis on Alexander that tells the details of each bird with mastery so large that you don't forget. The owls are an attraction to the mysterious, beautiful, and the stories about the owls are amazing. In fact, everything in the Park of the Falcons is amazing, really surpassed my expectations. The technical quality of the monitors, the Organization and the birds, every story, every glance.

  • An Institute whose purpose is to manage, maintain and train the Brazilian birds of prey, teaching and showing visitors the details of each species there. The ticket costs R $ 25.00 per person. Visiting hours are: from 9:00 till 2:00 pm and must be scheduled. Has oral and audiovisual explanation of the history, mission and management techniques of the Institute; presentation of the life habits of birds of prey; and photographs with the animals. The guides are didactic and full of good humor. Is very worthwhile, you pass by there, before going to the canyons of the river San Francisco.
