Norte Beach, Ilheus
(3.8/5 based on 100 reviews on the web)
At Norte Beach a strip of coconut trees is mixed with the rich vegetation of a native forest. Near the beach are numerous food and drink stalls, which are frequented by visitors cycling to and around this area. The wide strip of sand at this beach offers lots of quiet spots where you can spend the day in perfect privacy, far from the noise and overcrowding of other tourist attractions. Spend a peaceful day here, surfing or swimming, or set up you tent near the water and then explore other beaches along this stretch of the coastline. Close to this location you can also visit the Almada River, which runs parallel to the beach and offers additional areas for fishing and sunbathing. Make Norte Beach a centerpiece of your Ilheus vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Ilheus trip itinerary maker.

  • It has several very nice beaches worth visiting, but to leave the Islanders way there is a little confused lack proper signage and the GPS has no sign on the highway.

  • On the road to Itacaré has a gazebo where you can see all the way to the beach, really is very pretty and great for hiking or reflection, but doesn't have a lot of tents.
