Actually we didn't have a scheduled visit on this farm or meet the cocoa route, but super worth it. We know several chocolate shops in Ilheus and all indicated the yrere farm. (There seems to be another farm in the region that receives tourists, but only weekends and prioritizes customers of CVC). To visit the Yrere is necessary prior scheduling. Pay 30.00 per person. Is 20-minute Islanders drive and the road is good. We were greeted like close attention by the owner of the farm. The guide is a man who works with cocoa for 40 years, so of course the subject. We know the planting, drying and barge at the end do the cocoa and chocolate juice there produced. Worth knowing the history of cocoa and chocolate. Buy bars and cocoa nibs.

The farm is the notion of the golden age of the cocoa plantation, the difficulty of containing the vendace, offers detailed monitoring for those interested in the topic, in addition to a delicious cocoa and chocolate juice by itself they produced. In addition, the seat is exquisitely decorated by the owner, artisan premium quality

The script for the farm is not very long, but very cool. The owner and/or an employee always accompanies the groups, initially by a short trail in the middle of the cocoa plantation, explaining details of cultivation and telling the story of the cocoa in the region, as well as respond to numerous questions. Soon after, a tasting of chocolate produced with cocoa, cocoa, juice and you can also buy the chocolate (which is very good!!). My 6 year old daughter enjoyed much the ride, even on a rainy day.

Loved it! The site is simple, but cozy. Good conversation, an explanation of the history of cocoa, an excellent cocoa juice, a delicious chocolate, a beautiful view and a lovely place.

I hated ... poor of attractive and especially the abusive price of 30 reais per person ... it wasn't supposed to go from 10 reais. The visit only show a Vanda Orchid mistreated and in talking about the plague that struck the cocoa plantation and a small tasting of cocoa juice, nibs, chocolate the owner claims that are produced elsewhere with your farm healthy cocoas. Do not recommend this tour ... It's not worth it, no money and even less time.

Great ride! EE makes a tour of the cocoa plantation, the site of drying and tells the story of farm and cocoa process, fine intimate, with a jar of cocoa juice, caramelized nibs, cocoa-nut caramel toast and 55% cocoa farm chocolate! At the cost of 30 Reals per person, at first I thought it was expensive, then it totally holds!

Eco tourism the farm aims to show visitors the cocoa culture in the region, the guide your Zé Antonio 38 years working at the site will travel around the golden age until the decline with the pest infestation vendace. We tasted some types of cocoa under a cocoa tree. After this experience, we are treated to a cocoa, juice and homemade chocolates developed and marketed on the farm. The agricultural culture waned with the plague, but raised the possibility of new regional sustainable business. Don't go thinking guides scholars, but in Exchange a great finger of prose with people who have experienced the historic, and thus leave enriched to know.
