Praia Da Feiticeira, Ilhabela

4.2
#5 of 73 in Outdoors in Ilhabela
The beautiful and exclusive Praia Da Feiticeira is an ideal place for you to relax, with its small, warm pools in the shade of coconut palms. Completely isolated but for an entrance through a stone walkway, there are no facilities on the beach, which adds to its unspoiled tranquility. With only 250 m (820 ft) of sand, the beach is small but with so few visitors you will find it cozy rather than cramped. The rocks at the side of the beach are a hot spot for fishing, and, while waiting for a bite, you can look out over the azure-blue ocean and see the lush forests of the mainland in the distance. Dominating the left end of the beach, you will see the former Fazenda São Mathias. According to legend, the original owner amassed a great fortune that he had his slaves hide before killing them all. When he started going mad, local fisherman branded him a “feiticeira”--sorcerer--and he eventually disappeared, leaving behind a namesake for the beach and the mystery of buried treasure. • Although beautiful and charming, this beach is impossible in the season, there's no room for anything. Because it is too small, does not include the number of people who seek it in the summer. So, if not out of season, run it.

  • Short stretch of sand beach, you can walk from one end to the other in just a few minutes. Little thick sand with some rocks. Clear water with possibility to see small fish easily. Ideal for families with children, but supervise small, because the waves are averages. There are no kiosks, just a few tents that offer long neck beer (R $9.00), natural bread snacks (R $11.00), parts (potato, shrimp baits, etc) with varying prices-R $25.00 R $60.00 approximately, juices, and other drinks simple beats. Are not of the best quality, but you can snack while you enjoy the beach. The "waiters" are friendly and seek to offer a differentiated service, do you compete with the other tents. Be sure to visit this beach if to Ilhabela, is worth it. Double kayak ride, cheap (R $30.00 for 1 hour). There are also Stand Up. Beach umbrellas and chairs for rent. Place to park for free under trees. There is a volunteer assisting requesting optionally any value to "take care" of your car. TIPS: Bring mosquito repellent. There is less chewy than at other beaches on the island, but there is. Get there early to get in prime location (shady trees for example) and get parking spot easily. Take a cooler with your drinks and some simple snacks, so will save enough. Facing the sea, go to the left, next to the stones and the pier, and you can see beautiful fish shoals. Be careful when you climb on wet rocks. Droughts will be very hot. Good beach! Jan 18/data.

  • I love the passion praia da feiticeira, best beach for those who do not want to go away. including a renovation and now there's a parking lot right next to the Farm Are Mathias which facilitated pacas access. Small, nice beach, there's only one tent in which are friendly, on weekends and in high season has rent of chairs and beach umbrella, in other periods did not have. There's a river that empties into the sea very nice and clean. #LetsGuide

  • I arrived early and I settled in at the kiosk of the Beard. The beach is very pretty, fine sand and white took the sea with calm waves almost nonexistent but with strong currents, maybe you're already deep down. I saw some tiny little fish but soon left. A few stalls, I saw they were very polite. Really liked it!

  • The beach is well insulated, have to be accessed through a track. There's no infrastructure, so if your food is lightweight, umbrella, etc..
