  • First track falls to Praia do Bonete. About 40 min of walk from the gate of the farm of La, which is at the end of the dirt road after ending the asphalt, on the South side of the island. The waterfall has several falls and wells. Has a ramp of stone that can slide type slide. Paradise.

  • A delicious place to bathe, in the middle of the Atlantic, to the sound of birds and teíus that run along the way. A 60 min walk to 90 minutes for those who have no custom of hiking, but it pays off in the end. First, take mosquito repellent, the black flies are giving us on the way and when we got near the waterfall they increase. The path is well lean-to, is composed of climbs and descents, it gets harder because you might slip on the rocks in the soil or clay that forms along the way, especially after a day of rain. I think it's just doesn't get flustered, bring plenty of water and enjoy the way, because your legs are calling for a truce now and again, but it's worth a lot. After riding well, nothing better than a cold bath to relax. For those who want to follow up the bonete, you don't have to cross the water, there's a high bridge that leads to the other side. Recommend! Note: the waterfall way several falls, if with children, be careful not to slip.

  • First waterfall of life ... Loved, access is difficult for those who do not do things like track, however, pays too much. Water geladaaaaaa and delicious. You can swim quietly. Need to watch the smooth stones, roll a few tumbles. Use very very very repellent!

Where to stay in Ilhabela

With much of the island protected against overdevelopment, all but a handful of accommodations are found on the western coast of Ilhabela. There, upscale hotels with plenty of private grounds lie to the north or south of the main town. Look in the town itself for the main budget-friendly options, with characterful pousadas (guesthouses) the most popular option. The island can be pretty busy during peak seasons (especially summer, December to March), so booking ahead is essential. With the mainland so close, you can easily hop on the ferry back to Sao Sebastiao to sleep.
