It is the last beach of the North of Ilhabela in which you can reach by car. The beach is beautiful, and the gazebo on the road we can already see that. The sea is quiet, very good for swimming. It has a stream of fresh water also. We went on a Monday and had only one restaurant open and I was totally busy ... which was great, because we wanted peace of mind and we went to the opposite side (where the Creek) to enjoy the beach and peace!

The beach is beautiful, to impress even. The sea is agitated, the right for the meeting of the River with the sea, forming a pool of delicious fresh water. I've never been so bitten by mosquitoes as on this beach, I returned every wound! So, before you even arrive already spend plenty of repellent and reapply each time you bathe. There are some tents, but as I went on weekday and in low season weren't open, so bring water and food is recommended. TIP: you can stop the car on the road (to Earth) and descend on foot, passing through the parking lot, without however afford it. I imagine that on weekends and high season be more complicated to get out of the parking spot, but downtown was very quiet.

The beach is beautiful but feel intimidated with the face of the "gatekeeper" of the beach by n want to leave your car in the private parking of $20 in full Monday, and go through the promenade of "cheap". In addition had a stall selling coconut $15 ... shows the spirit of Brazilian pig q wants to do well at the expense of others. Nature is beautiful, too bad q human spoils.

Where to stay in Ilhabela

With much of the island protected against overdevelopment, all but a handful of accommodations are found on the western coast of Ilhabela. There, upscale hotels with plenty of private grounds lie to the north or south of the main town. Look in the town itself for the main budget-friendly options, with characterful pousadas (guesthouses) the most popular option. The island can be pretty busy during peak seasons (especially summer, December to March), so booking ahead is essential. With the mainland so close, you can easily hop on the ferry back to Sao Sebastiao to sleep.
