Fome Beach, Ilhabela

Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Inspirock Rating:
4.4/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web
Ilhabela means "Beautiful Island", and Fome Beach is one of its most beautiful spots, with green water, lush scenery, and warm white sand. This beach is accessible by boat only, and out of 41 beaches on the island, it is one of the more isolated ones, offering you privacy and peace away from the usual tourist hustle and bustle. This archipelago is called "the capital of sailing'" for good reason, as the calm waters and strong winds between the main island and the continent favor many nautical sports, such as sailing, kitesurfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving. You can also choose a more relaxing activity, like fishing or birdwatching. It couldn't be easier to arrange your visit to Fome Beach and many more Ilhabela attractions: make an itinerary online using Inspirock's Ilhabela tour planner.

  • Prainha small, much beautiful and green water. Take plenty of insect repellant as there are many black flies and they are boring and sting that hurts too much.

  • No access by land, but it's worth the journey by boat or other nautical transport for those who appreciate as laser practice snorkeling.

  • Beautiful beach, with greenish and crystalline water. Small but very good beach to take advantage. Have the option to rest under the shadows of the trees also. Unfortunately there's only a single bar/restaurant, which does not pass card and the prices are right. Prepare and take money left over.
