Cabras Island, Ilhabela

(4.5/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
A little gem of a getaway, Cabras Island is a snorkeler’s dream. You can rent gear on the island and the staff aren’t picky about where you use it, as long as it's returned intact. Reef fish populate the waters that surround the island, swimming in schools and hiding among the rocks that make up the island’s foundation. Arrive in the morning to miss the crowds, then you can enjoy the beaches and greenery in peace. Rent a kayak and paddle your way around the island to get a view of the coast before heading inland for a snack. • Very beautiful place! Surely place required in Ilhabela. The beach is small then better not go in days of a lot of activity. Usually the food band playing in shipping is good!

  • For me this is one of the most beautiful beach of Ilhabela. The edge is very small, so it fills up very easily, but it is possible to swim with the fishes and see them, because the water is clean and transparent. If you pay, you can cross to the other side of the island, where fish multiply and the water is even clearer. Be sure to take your camera waterproof, as it will yield high photos!

  • The easiest access to the island is by the beach of girls. It is very close, if you swim, you can reach it. In case you didn't know, a raft or kayak takes you there. It is possible to rent kayaks on the beach, at cost, if memory serves me 25.00 per person. But this island is of particular belongs, that is, it is not possible to enter the island, only see and swim to the vicinity. There are few places for parking on the beach. So get there early so you can stop your car. The beach of girls that gives access to the Goat Island is one of the first South of the island.
