Abraao Beach, Ilha Grande

(2.5/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Take a boat or hike up to Abraao Beach, located in the largest village (only 1900 residents) on an island of few roads and almost no private cars. Right next to this secluded beach you can buy cold drinks and listen to live music, performed by village bands on popular BBQ nights. Make a stop here to enjoy fresh fish straight from the grill, along with juices, cocktails, and ice cream made with local fruit. This beach is popular with swimmers, kayakers, snorkelers, divers, and bodyboarders. Equipment for all water sports can be rented nearby. From the pier you can board a boat or ferry to Mangaratiba, where you can catch a daily connection for Rio de Janeiro. • It is the most populous village of the big island, with access by boat only. Most tours leave of Abraham. TIP: Take a little bit of money, do you have ATMs on the island, but 90% of establishments accept credit cards. There is also a currency exchange to foreign tourists.

  • This is the beach of the Center, where the port is. As linda not is, never the beaches of the Center are nice. But if have an afternoon to not do anything, can pull is a time in the sand. The beauty of this beach, is that there are several bars and restaurants which are very nice at night, with its tables on the sand and the lanterns hanging from the branches of the trees. Very relaxing and picturesque.

  • The beach of Abraham is the gate of heaven, Abraham! Location of exits of several tours paradise. At night, the bars and restaurants are illuminated and many with decorative lighting in various colours. There is a great movement of people at night, is looking for restaurants, shopping in stores scattered throughout the Village and also purchase of tours to the dawn of the next day. Is the busiest site of the big island, especially on holidays.
