Praia do Sossego, Ilha de Itamaraca

(4.3/5 based on 110+ reviews on the web)
Aptly named the "Quiet Beach," Praia do Sossego offers tranquility and a bit of isolation to visitors eager to avoid the more crowded hot spots on the island. On this beach you can always find a cool shade in the native mangrove vegetation. A wide stretch of warm sand and natural pools forming at low tide make this spot a favorite of small children, who can play in the calm water for hours as their parents relax on the shore. The Jaguaribe River estuary completes the landscape of this cozy beach. There are almost no visitor facilities in this secluded area, so bring your own snacks and drinks for a quiet day of swimming and sunbathing. • That amazing place, we have no way to conduct a visit to the northeastern beaches and not fall in love but some are more amazing than others, is I think it is incredible ...

  • The local name already says a lot about him, Quiet beach. If drive the road is terrible, a dirt road of nearly 8 KM are in Itamaracá and river crossing, which costs between 1 and 2 Reales by stretch (or back) pays more. On the beach, white sand, low tide forms a beautiful postcard. Recommend for those who want to go for a walk, little infrastructure.

  • As stated, the landscape is beautiful, but we need you all along (bring food and drinks if not weekend). The seaside bars options are limited, few were open and the bar that we stopped q food was bad. The beaches in general are quite dirty, I came up with diaper and razor blade! The photos that we did turned out great but enter the Sea requires courage.
