Forte Orange Beach, Ilha de Itamaraca

(3.2/5 based on 260+ reviews on the web)
Named after the nearby Orange Fort, which was built by the Dutch settlers in 1631, Forte Orange Beach is known for calm blue waters and numerous bars serving grilled fish right on the sand. The beach is also home to the sea mammals preservation center, which aims to protect endangered sea creatures of this area and teach visitors about renewable ways of using our natural resources. Drop by this educational spot with the whole family, or spend a quiet day of swimming and sunbathing on the warm white sands of this peaceful beach. From this spot you can also catch a boat or raft crossing the Jaguaribe River to the small islet, a secluded place favored by swimmers and divers. • Very nice beach, white sand, clear waters, facing the island whose crossing costs $15.00 dollars, pretty cool. Can you make a hit and back on llhota (shoal)

  • The view is great, but the beach is very crowded, especially on weekends. The entire strip of sand is dominated by tents with relatively high prices compared to other beaches on the coast of Pernambuco.

  • Weekend seems the Palm piscinão Palm, a massive crowd only. A lot of people, a lot of dirt. I didn't have the heart to go into the water, but the landscape is charming.
