Ponta de Castelhanos, Ilha de Boipeba

4.8
#3 of 11 in Things to do in Ilha de Boipeba
Crystal clear waters and coral reefs make Ponta de Castelhanos a perfect diving and snorkeling spot. Swim with the capiaçava fish, so fearless they come right up to you. A floating raft serves freshly caught crab and shrimp, and on the beach, by the hammocks strung between the palm trees, locals serve a traditional shrimp stew with plantain made in clay pots. Lovely place with wonderful sea views. The landing of the boat there is a stall that sells pastries and drinks. Great to spend the day relaxing and enjoying the beautiful place.

Take a tour by speedboat in Boipeba is mandatory without it does not have the opportunity to visit amazing places as the pools in front of the beach of Morere, the Castilians and, above all, the Castilians. The beach is the mouth of a river and has mangroves in the middle of the sea. You can enjoy drinks, juices and fresh fruit caipirinhas (cacao, biribiri, manga, etc) prepared by the friendly Pirate of Castilians and eating fish and a mangrove seafood called scooter made in breath in time. Guys thanks

Ideal for snorkeling. You have to go with a guide, but ask in the village, someone is going to take (walking)

Where to stay in Ilha de Boipeba

Almost the entirety of the accommodations on this happily undeveloped island are located in the main town in the north east. Pousadas (guesthouses) possessing a traditional, rustic charm represent the most common accommodation type in the town, with facilities as basic as you would wish from an island still retaining a certain idyllic sense of days gone by. A couple of budget options can be found in the village, with camping grounds one of the possibilities for budget-conscious travelers. A couple of other accommodations can be found in more remote areas, and will certainly need to be booked in advance.
