Morere, Ilha de Boipeba

4.7
#1 of 11 in Things to do in Ilha de Boipeba
Beach Nature / Park
Part of the archipelago town of Cairu, Morere is a true beach paradise, only reachable by boat or by a local-run tractor ride. Once there you will find white sand, surrounded by mangroves and rainforest, home to a small fishing village as well as several camping grounds. The water is crystal clear, and perfect for snorkeling, with many reefs and deeper pools. Considering its isolation, you might expect it to be difficult to find food at Morere, but snacks and drinks are sold from boats at the ocean pools, and with the proximity of the fishing village, an abundance of seafood is available. • I went with my boyfriend, we stopped at a small house on the beach, it was a week of pure nature and tranquility. Don't forget to snorkel. If they seek peace is the idea, but cross to the Morro de São Paulo where there are bars, shops and nightclubs!

  • A very pleasant for walking and bathing beach. And don't miss the Moqueca at the Paradiso Octopus which is to die for ;)

  • The morere beach is a paradise hidden with calm water, crystal clear and the sand filled with coconut trees. Is perfect for relaxing, walking, scuba diving in the natural swimming pools and enjoy the typical cuisine in the restaurant, your Gentle paradise and Angelica. Is a beach further away and therefore preserved, generally quieter than other beaches of Boipeba and this makes it even more special.

Where to stay in Ilha de Boipeba

Almost the entirety of the accommodations on this happily undeveloped island are located in the main town in the north east. Pousadas (guesthouses) possessing a traditional, rustic charm represent the most common accommodation type in the town, with facilities as basic as you would wish from an island still retaining a certain idyllic sense of days gone by. A couple of budget options can be found in the village, with camping grounds one of the possibilities for budget-conscious travelers. A couple of other accommodations can be found in more remote areas, and will certainly need to be booked in advance.
