Tombo beach, Guaruja
(4.5/5 based on 1,200+ reviews on the web)
Tombo beach has Blue Flag certification, one of only two beaches in the whole of Brazil, which makes it that extra bit special. This stunning beach, located in the city of Guarujá, has all of your needs covered. At roughly 800 m (0.5 miles) long and covered in sugar-white sand surrounded by rolling green hills, the picturesque setting ensures a good mix of people, both locals and tourists. If you like to partake in, or even just watch, water sports, you’ve come to the right place. With its renowned strong waves, it is the number-one spot for surfers in the area, but is also great for kite-surfing and stand-up paddling. The kiosks offer delicious seafood, and the bars provide refreshing drinks. You can see turtles in the rocky areas to the side of the beach, and if you look farther out over the water, you may get lucky and see some whales. A visit to Tombo beach represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Guaruja family vacation planner to plot your vacation.

  • Beach very clean and well taken care of, only the Guarujá that don't have sewage floating everywhere. Recommend the kiosks of the Boardwalk. The sea sometimes is a little angry.

  • My favorite Beach in guaruja. Nice people, clean beach and a beautiful landscape. Have kiosks and infrastructure is not in the middle of the "hostel".
