Specialty Museum
Museu Gramado Minerais e Pedras Preciosas contains over 500 semiprecious stones, amethysts, agates, opals, and geodes found in Rio Grande do Sul and other regions of Brazil and abroad. You can't take any of the exhibits with you, of course, but you can buy souvenirs at the museum shop. Freebies are often handed out right at the gates. You can walk the manicured museum lawn, where some of the exhibits are displayed, or join the crowd for a demonstration of how glass vases are manufactured. Geology enthusiast or not, you can find plenty to do if you get off the beaten path in this small town on the scenic route known as Rota Romântica. • Worth the visit! Minerals of all colors possible. Missed some information of the training processes. There's a lot of story to tell and the Museum seems to have left a little aside.
