Create an itinerary including Lago Negro
A small town’s big surprise, Lago Negro was created in 1953 in an area once covered by a lush forest, which was destroyed by a devastating fire in the 1940s. Shaped like the letter U, the lake was surrounded by pine saplings, imported all the way from Germany’s famous Black Forest (hence, the lake’s name). Today, this large artificial pond sits in the middle of a dense pine forest, with its shores naturally bordered by blue hydrangeas. Take a leisurely walk around the lake to enjoy the scenery and photograph the famous pines, or spend a few hours jogging or cycling on the surrounding paths. Drop by the lake’s boathouse to rent a boat, and take a little time to paddle on the calm water. • Amazing natural beauty, perfect for couples or family. Very peaceful, picturesque area. The pedal boat rides are fun, very relaxing. Amazing views at every turn.
  • An amazing place for family time. Take a walk, run a little or even take a 20 minute journey in those romantic boats. Just amazing for a great time with family or friends.
  • The boat trip it's good, 40 reais for twenty minutes, with lifeguard (couple). There are tiny and medium size boats: for two or four people. The course around the lake it's good, and there is even a Villa with food court and stores. The entrance is free, with very parking spaces around the park, also free. A good place to go at Gramado, for sure.
