Black Lake, Gramado

#1 of 91 in Things to do in Gramado
Water Body Nature / Park
A small town’s big surprise, Black Lake was created in 1953 in an area once covered by a lush forest, which was destroyed by a devastating fire in the 1940s. Shaped like the letter U, the lake was surrounded by pine saplings, imported all the way from Germany’s famous Black Forest (hence, the lake’s name). Today, this large artificial pond sits in the middle of a dense pine forest, with its shores naturally bordered by blue hydrangeas. Take a leisurely walk around the lake to enjoy the scenery and photograph the famous pines, or spend a few hours jogging or cycling on the surrounding paths. Drop by the lake’s boathouse to rent a boat, and take a little time to paddle on the calm water. • Beautiful park, be sure to rent a pedalo, you can get 20 minutes, what is far more than necessary, walk through the Park and ends in a corner near the entrance has a Lawn sign pretty much, where there are people that take picture with your cell phone/camera if you request. Lovely ride, be sure to do.

  • A great place to ride a paddle boat and make photos of the Lake and your surroundings. With strong Sun the ride can be a little consativo.

  • Clean Park with ducks and geese free, with many trees and flowers. Beautiful to take photo, ride a paddle boat, running walk, dating, think ... The Park also offers a ride on a pirate ship for children! Very interesting! Too bad we spent little time.
