Black Lake, Gramado

4.7
A small town’s big surprise, Black Lake was created in 1953 in an area once covered by a lush forest, which was destroyed by a devastating fire in the 1940s. Shaped like the letter U, the lake was surrounded by pine saplings, imported all the way from Germany’s famous Black Forest (hence, the lake’s name). Today, this large artificial pond sits in the middle of a dense pine forest, with its shores naturally bordered by blue hydrangeas. Take a leisurely walk around the lake to enjoy the scenery and photograph the famous pines, or spend a few hours jogging or cycling on the surrounding paths. Drop by the lake’s boathouse to rent a boat, and take a little time to paddle on the calm water. • A pleasant stroll for fresh December afternoon, a lake with many paddleboats and even pirate ship. Worth the visit.

  • Beautiful place, super nice with a super lawn, paddle boat, plenty of room for kids to run and play. My 2 year old daughter got a trip to ride a paddle boat but the line was so giant weren't. Remembering that we were tb in a season, the first week of January and at noon .... But I loved the place and I would go back again!
