Outdoor Activity
Located just 3 kilometers (less than 2 mi) from the city center, Cachoeira do Simao is known for its crystal clear waters cascading into a large natural swimming pool. You can hire a local guide to take you to this waterfall, which can be accessed by a well-maintained rustic road. A guide can also indicate safe swimming spots in the area. If you choose to do so, keep in mind that the water here can be icy cold and unpredictable. Visitors travelling with small children prefer to picnic near the water or hike around the waterfall, which is surrounded by lush vegetation virtually unspoiled by man. Where to stay in Goncalves

Characterful, rustic lodges and pousadas (guesthouses) represent the most popular accommodation styles in Goncalves, with little price differentiation between them. A couple lodgings located on the outskirts of town offer larger grounds, while some include additional services, such as breakfast and tour booking. Due to the relatively small number of options available, you'll need to reserve your accommodations in Goncalves in advance. Campsites offer a good choice for getting directly out into the surrounding landscape.

  • Even the laziest comes at that drop of water. Worth a visit, is a beautiful spot for a quick passage and even a dip for the bravest. Cold water and little Sun around. Free admission. If you bring something to eat or drink don't let dirt at the site. Respect nature. If you're a smoker, drunk or drugged don't let his vices in place, take it away.

  • Small waterfall, an ice-cold, allows local bath, has some rocks a little slippery ... has shadow area between trees well hidden Input along the road ... very little place to Park

  • This is the waterfall of easier access in Gaur, the road is of Earth but in very good condition and is not far away, she is less than 10 minutes from the city centre. I was in the middle of the week so it was quiet, had a place to Park, it was possible to enjoy the sound of the waterfall and take lots of pictures. I believe that over the weekend the place must be well played. I went in early may, the temperature was a little low so it has not been possible to take a bath in the waterfall because the water is really cold in the region. In the summer should be a delight. Worth a visit if you like that play with nature.
