Where to stay in Goias

While obviously lacking the colonial-era elegance of the town's main architectural highlights, accommodations in Goias are an attractive bunch. Colorful, squat hotels and guesthouses, family-run and neatly maintained, remain the most popular option. Dotted around town here and there, they offer a good level of service and a comfortable room for a decent price. Prices rise with proximity to the World Heritage-listed town center, where the location offers characterful views from your room. If on a budget, stay farther from the center: it's all pretty close together anyway, and the charming rusticity extends well past the historical core.

  • Go by car until the road ends. It is not a perfect road. After that go walking to the top of the mountain. If you have a guide, you can see the colored sand and the "paper trees". Beautiful place  more »
  • We went with the Ipe tourism, Rodrigo is the very nice guide and with a lot of knowledge of the region. Well worth going but alone I don't think giving to enjoy too. Wonderful view!

  • The Park has access to the highway that goes to city of Mossâmedes. After leaving the highway the road is by dirt road is in good condition. But next to the Park the path is more complicated, because it is more narrow, lean and predegulhos possibly an ordinary car can't get to the entrance gate. The visit was carried out on an overcast day which favored the walk in the Park, (I imagine on sunny days the visit should be more boring) but even then it was still wonderful. The Park has not only guide guards that are watching. There are three major points of visits the stone Goiana (couldn't find it), the sand and the gazebo.
