Where to stay in Goias

While obviously lacking the colonial-era elegance of the town's main architectural highlights, accommodations in Goias are an attractive bunch. Colorful, squat hotels and guesthouses, family-run and neatly maintained, remain the most popular option. Dotted around town here and there, they offer a good level of service and a comfortable room for a decent price. Prices rise with proximity to the World Heritage-listed town center, where the location offers characterful views from your room. If on a budget, stay farther from the center: it's all pretty close together anyway, and the charming rusticity extends well past the historical core.

  • Very interesting old town to visit. A one day trip or maybe two days is enough to see this historical place.  more »
  • Old houses and buildings, beautiful old churches and the best "empadão de Goiás".  more »
  • walk the paved roads with stones type chikki, strolling unhurriedly night looks like very good, enter the souvenir shops, observe the local crafts, churches with special lighting, is a delight, stop at the bandstand and an ice cream, no running, no riot, it's like time stopped there in that place.
