Interesting space, needs some aesthetic care and conservation of the collection. Is a charming and pleasant visit. Teachers and students pay half. Is right in the heart of the historic centre, the building is well maintained. Interesting, eclectic collection and generally well maintained. Nice guide, but wrong in some information and value judgments that does not fit. Demand a hand of a professional in the field of museology and/or story. Is right in the heart of the historic centre, the building is well maintained. Recommend that the Guide does not encourage, or allow visitors to touch or use the acquis. Aesthetically the lobby with conservation issues with aesthetic plastic chair, phones, a desk that is in tune with the "climate". Make your visit easy, look around the landscape for Windows, doors and gardens ...

Built in 1756 the Manor of 36 rooms served as the seat of Government of the State of Goiás and as the residence of the Count of Arcos, was serving as the official residence of the Governors of State until the 30. The property was abandoned for many years and the original furniture almost nothing left, part of the collection consists of works of the 18TH century, some pieces were donations mainly from the Palace of emeralds, but hark back to ancient time. During the period of abandonment was invaded and even the floor was taken, some changes of internal environments were made, as well as your façade also underwent changes during the restoration. Guided tour by professional with enough knowledge not only of the local history of the city. Visitation: Tuesday to Friday from 8:00. at 5:00 pm, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 8:00. at 1:00 pm. Ticket-$ 2.00

Where to stay in Goias

While obviously lacking the colonial-era elegance of the town's main architectural highlights, accommodations in Goias are an attractive bunch. Colorful, squat hotels and guesthouses, family-run and neatly maintained, remain the most popular option. Dotted around town here and there, they offer a good level of service and a comfortable room for a decent price. Prices rise with proximity to the World Heritage-listed town center, where the location offers characterful views from your room. If on a budget, stay farther from the center: it's all pretty close together anyway, and the charming rusticity extends well past the historical core.
