  • We were in particular auto, at the entrance of wanda (a small town) were welcomed by a guy, telling us that "the tour started the first x" saying that we estacionemos in auto and let's get started! We hope on the door of the premises, to see if we would. We were welcomed by a lady, asking us where we were it, and started to want to sell! Super pushy. We bought him a ring to 100 pesos, CARISMO. (In tents beside the mine was 50 pesos the same ring, like all things were a lot cheaper!) While we were in the store looking, between a couple with children, and the insistent super seller wanting to sell you, the couple did not want to and this became angry, because they did not want to buy! NI IS SPENT ON ENTERING THE FIRST STORE! It's the same thing in other stores, just that much more expensive! To reach the mines had to make approx 1 km down a horrible Street! A step to the side of the other, and that was not the worst, forced, we had to go to snail's pace by the condition of the road, as we move, kids with crafts (stones, tree of life ect) offering during these 10, endless blocks) and how already had (bought in the p (rimer tienda) said les that no, they insist us both, to the point to ask for something to eat! Arriving wings mines there is a piece of cloth that t indicates where Park, and says where pay comes it (70 pesos x person) and also makes clear that you can wing tipping Guide, if these in accordance with the travel. The clarification is yet warning, or queriendonos say that we have to leave something if or if. The tour is super short, 10 minutes at most. (it depends on the Guide and tourists) If you should choose to go wouldn't have it! I understand that they live from that, but not this nothing good going to have an unpleasant time. Because of last the toured is super short. Travel, nor the mines is not justified. It must be different if you were in collective or a Tour, since they must stop, and much less entering the first store.

  • It is worth knowing this mine. attentive guides. you learn and stroll. Very interesting. Through the caves (before it was a mine outdoors but that change) seeing geodes in the rock, with Amethyst, citrine, calcite. Also there is a park with Guarani legends, a small cinema with an explanatory video of the training many businesses for sale of stones (all this is filling but they make it a day-hike)

Where to stay in Foz do Iguacu

Given the one dominant attraction in Foz do Iguacu, it's not surprising that the vast majority of accommodations sit on the south side of town, on the way to the waterfalls. To get as close as possible to the falls, stay in the southern neighborhoods of Jardim Eldorado or Jardim Iguacu. Many of the hotels in those neighborhoods line Avenue das Cataratas, the road that leads all the way to the falls. To get a better feel for the rest of the city, stay in the city center or its next-door neighborhood, Vila Paraguaia. From your hotel near the Parana River, you'll enjoy views over the neighboring city of Ciudad del Este in Paraguay.
