Bosque Guarani zoo, Foz do Iguacu

(2.3/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Bosque Guarani zoo, a free zoo, is home to a large collection of exotic birds and butterflies. Located just across from the city’s main bus terminal, the zoo is part of Parque das Aves (Bird Park) and is easily accessible by a short walk from the region’s famed waterfalls. Thriving under protection of expert scientists are several types of wild parrots, macaques, macaws, peacocks, turtles, and rheas. You can see these tropical species in their big cages, in a jungle setting typical to their natural environment. Bring your camera and stop by the large pond where the caiman idles away his days. • Good Woods guarani is maintained with funds from the municipal government, but it's clean, organized and best of all free entry, has numerous animals, including a young Jaguar that was brought in recently, the environment is quiet to flee some of the stress of the city.

  • The space is nice but is not well taken care of. The entrance was out of control. The Woods and banks are not well maintained. Has a certain number of animals. Could be much better. It's a shame I have been abandoned. But it didn't seem to be dangerous. Who you know will be much better in the future? Serve the population and visitors!

  • A little abandoned despite having the free entry, maybe more officials to keep the streets clean would be ideal. More is always nice go at the Zoo.

  • It is an abandoned zoo.
  • The animals are surrounded in small cages. Although well wooded, the cage of the animals do not appear to be well cared for. I couldn't find any employee during the tour.

  • Few animals, but very cool! When I was an employee was feeding puppies macaws, it was great! Nice atmosphere, good for walking and free entry

  • I found the place abandoned. Is a public Zoo. It's worth just to take a ride with the kids. I couldn't find any employees on site.

  • It's hard to call it a garden. A small park with a dozen representatives of different species of pozamykanych in small cages. Impressions of uninteresting.
